Who We Are
First we would like to give honor to God, who is the head of our lives. This is a family owned business. The realization of our family bussiness has been a blessing and a dream come true. We are translpants from the city of New Orleans, also known as the Big Easy, which is how our vision or blue print was formed. We have all traveled to the state of Texas by different routes, some by marriage, work, but the majority brought about by a blessing in disguise, Hurricane Katrina. Our dream was to own a restaurant that served home-cooked meals from the “Big Easy”. After coming together with our blue print and doing a lot of research we sought after our hearts desires. We originally found a location that did not work out, but we did not give up.
The devil remained busy by throwing different obstacles our way, but being a praying family we knew that nothing is too hard for God. We continued to keep God first and worked towards making our dream a reality. We found a new location, 612 SEVENTH Street [6-(1+2) = 3: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit], that was heaven sent and within 3 months we opened our doors to serve the public our soul food. The Bible says people without a vision will perish. We, as a family, had a vision and with our faith in God we have truly been blessed with a restaurant. With this restaurant, we are able to share our love from back home, New Orleans AKA “Big Easy”, with you.
The owners are as follows: Terry & Pamela Calvin, Reverend Rodney Miller, and Penny Moore
We have come this far with help from our FAMILY, which includes many good cooks and helping hands that are willing to help with anything that we ask. Our crew consists of Yvette, Tyrome, Barbara, and Mark
Psalm 27 verse 14 states it best: Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
